Multipathing enables you to configure multiple I/O paths between server nodes and storage arrays into a single device. These I/O paths are physical SAN connections that can include separate cables, switches, and controllers.
The following instructions are provided for the administrator of the DE Series storage array to set up multi-path for Windows.
If MPIO is not installed, add the MPIO feature to Windows from the Server Manager and then restart the system.
If SAN booting, install with single path, then install Windows DSM package and restart before presenting the rest of the paths to the host.
If not SAN booting, install Windows DSM package and restart before presenting the LUNs to the host.
